Greeting

"Hi, this is Rosie from [your business]. How can I help you today?" Natural voice, not a robot menu.

Listen for intent

Book a groom? Reschedule? Ask about pricing? Complaint? Rosie branches accordingly — no wasted questions.

Collect caller name & phone

Confirmed back to the caller. Stored securely. Used for the deposit text and booking record.

Service-area check

Rosie asks for their ZIP and checks it against your service area. Out of range? She politely declines and offers a waitlist.

Dog details

Breed, size (S/M/L/XL), coat type, temperament, last groom. Everything you'd ask a new client.

Quote the price

Rosie quotes from your size-based pricing + any upcharges (double coat, matted, senior, first-timer). No guessing.

Check your calendar

Live read of your calendar — Rosie offers the next 2–3 open slots in their preferred time window.

Collect the deposit

Rosie texts a $25 Stripe link during the call. She waits for payment confirmation before writing the booking.

Create the booking

Written to your calendar with all details: client name, dog, size, address, price, deposit paid.

Text the confirmation

Client gets a text: appointment time, address confirmation, what to expect, your contact.

Alert you (only if needed)

You get a silent text for new bookings and an urgent text for angry callers, callbacks, or emergencies. Nothing else.

What Rosie will never do.

Transparency matters. Here's what's explicitly off limits.

❌ Go off-script

She only handles booking, rescheduling, pricing, and service-area questions. Anything else gets routed to you.

❌ Discount without permission

Rosie quotes your prices. She can't negotiate, coupon, or waive fees without your explicit config.

❌ Book out of area

Your ZIP list is hard-coded. Rosie cannot create a booking outside it, ever.

❌ Skip the deposit

No deposit, no booking. Prevents the #1 cause of mobile-groomer no-shows.

❌ Hallucinate availability

Rosie reads your live calendar every call. She can't offer a slot that isn't open.

❌ Store payment info

All payments go through Stripe. Paws Desk never sees your clients' card numbers.
