This Privacy Policy explains what information Paws Desk collects, how we use it, and your rights. We wrote this in plain English on purpose.
When you sign up as a customer of Paws Desk, we collect your name, email, business name, phone number, billing address, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see your card number). During onboarding we collect your service area, schedule, pricing, and any other information needed to configure Rosie.
When your customers call Rosie, we collect their name, phone number, ZIP code, dog details, and the full call audio and transcript. We store these to (a) deliver the booking service, (b) resolve disputes, (c) train and improve Rosie's prompt for you and other customers (using anonymized, aggregated data only).
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, medical records, or payment card numbers (Stripe handles payments directly). We do not track your customers across websites or build advertising profiles.
We use the information to: run your Paws Desk account, handle phone calls and bookings, process payments, send you product updates and billing notifications, improve Rosie's performance, comply with legal obligations, and respond to support requests.
We use a small set of trusted third-party services to run Paws Desk:
Each of these has their own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other party. We will disclose information if required by law (e.g., a valid subpoena).
Call recordings and transcripts are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days, then deleted. Booking records are retained for 7 years for tax and dispute resolution purposes. You can request earlier deletion by emailing us.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email colten@pawsdesk.com. We respond within 7 days.
We use TLS for all data in transit and encryption at rest for all stored data. Access to customer data is limited to the Paws Desk team members who need it to operate the service. If we ever experience a data breach, we will notify affected customers within 72 hours.
Paws Desk is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA. If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR. These include the right to request details about processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to data portability. Email us to exercise these rights.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be emailed to you at least 14 days in advance.
