Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Paws Desk ("we," "us," "Service"), operated by Paws Desk ("Company"). By signing up or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who this is for

Paws Desk is a phone-answering service designed exclusively for solo mobile dog grooming businesses. The Service is not intended for franchises, chains, salons with multiple employees, or non-grooming businesses.

2. Account & payment

The Service is billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Founding-customer pricing of $699/month is locked as long as your subscription remains continuously active; lapsed subscriptions re-enter at the then-current standard rate. Standard pricing is $899/month. You can cancel any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. 30-day guarantee

If you cancel within the first 30 days of your first billing cycle, we will refund the month-one charge in full. The guarantee applies only to month one and does not cover any Twilio phone number porting costs you may incur.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate pricing, service area, schedule, and dog-handling policies during onboarding. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including animal welfare, business licensing, tax, and employment laws. Paws Desk is a phone-answering tool — you remain the business of record for all grooming services booked through the Service.

5. Phone numbers and call recording

You will use a Twilio phone number provisioned by Paws Desk. All calls handled by the Service are recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and dispute resolution. Rosie will disclose that calls may be recorded when required by state law. You agree to display notice of call recording on your public contact points where required by law.

6. SMS & TCPA compliance

Rosie sends text messages only to phone numbers that have initiated a call, requested a callback, or otherwise provided consent. You agree not to use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages. Paws Desk will register your brand and campaign under A2P 10DLC on your behalf; you agree to provide required business identity information.

7. Payments and deposits

Rosie collects $25 refundable deposits from your callers via Stripe on your behalf. Deposits are held in your connected Stripe account, not by Paws Desk. All refund decisions remain with you.

8. Uptime and limitations

We target 99.5% monthly uptime. The Service depends on third-party providers (Twilio, Vapi, OpenAI, Stripe) and their availability. We do not guarantee that Rosie will handle every conceivable caller request correctly. You are responsible for monitoring your dashboard for flagged calls and responding to escalations promptly.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to: impersonate another business; solicit or accept bookings you do not intend to fulfill; engage in harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity; reverse-engineer or resell the Service; or attempt to extract Rosie's underlying prompts or models.

10. Data ownership

You own your customer data, bookings, call transcripts, and recordings. On cancellation, we provide a full export in CSV format within 7 days of your request. Paws Desk retains anonymized usage data for service improvement.

11. Intellectual property

Paws Desk, the Rosie assistant, and all associated software, prompts, and branding are the exclusive property of the Company. Your right to use the Service is a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license that ends when your subscription ends.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO PAWS DESK IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to you at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
